How To Reset The Galaxy Note 10 And Note 10+
Samsung's latest flagship duo the Note 10 and Note 10+ are finally here and even though some of you might be disappointed with the lack of any over the top features, there's no denying that the Note series duo are absolute stunners.
Both smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 (US/China) while the rest of the world gets the latest Exynos 9825 chipset from Samsung.
Now even though the Note 10 and Note 10+ pack in all the processing power you might need, you might end up having to reset your device due to a software bug or for a bunch of other reasons.
Fortunately, resetting either of the two smartphones is fairly easy and here's how to do so.
Reset the Note 10 or Note 10+
The process to reset the devices is the same on both hence you could simply follow the steps below to reset the Note 10 and the Note 10 +.
Important: I'd suggest creating a backup of all your files and data on the device before resetting it since your data would be wiped during the reset.
Method 1: Software reset
- Launch the device's Settings app and then tap on General management.
- Tap on Reset.
- Now select Factory data reset.
- You'd see a warning page which would let you know that all your data on the device would be erased. Simply scroll down the page and tap on Reset.
- Confirm your action and then the device would begin with the factory data reset.
Your device might reboot a couple of times during the process. Once your Note 10/Note 10+ has been reset, you would have to set up the device same way you did when you first booted it up.
Method 2: Hard reset
- Power off the Note 10/Note 10+.
- When the device is off, press and hold the Bixby, Volume up and Power buttons together until you see the Samsung logo appear.
- You would then see a flash of the blue screen, and a moment later you should be in the 'Android Recovery' page.
- Using the Volume down button, navigate to the option: Wipe data/Factory reset, and then use the Power button to select the option.
- Select Yes on the next screen to confirm your action.
- The factory reset process should now begin and when you see the Recovery screen appear again, select the option to Reboot system now to restart the device.
That's it. All that's left to do is install your favorite apps once again.
