How To Improve Ping In PUBG Mobile

Having a good ping can greatly improve your chances of grabbing that Winner Winner Chicken Dinner while playing PUBG Mobile. The lower your ping, the faster your bullets and movements register with the game server.

While there's no magical way to drastically lower your ping while remaining on the same network, there are a few ways to improve your ping to make it a tad more stable.

It's worth keeping in mind that while a low ping plays an important role in the game, one's game sense and skill matters as well hence having a low ping does not automatically mean you'd win the battle royale game every round.

Nonetheless, here are a few things to try out to help reduce your ping or make it as stable as possible without changing your network.

Improve ping in PUBG Mobile

These tips may or may not work for you depending on the situation. I'd advise trying all of the below-mentioned tips to see which one works for you.

1. Turn off background sync

Turning off background sync can help lower your in-game ping or at least improve the stability of your ping since the device would not consume network data to refresh and sync your email accounts or other apps.

Samsung device users can simply pull down the notification toggle and toggle off Sync. If you're using a device from any other OEM, try searching for Sync in the Settings apps and toggle off the function or simply disable background data use.

2. Avoid sharing your hotspot or Wi-Fi

It's a no-brainer to avoid sharing your hotspot or Wi-Fi with others while playing PUBG, especially if your network does not support high bandwidth and high speed. Using the internet on another device could cause the ping to fluctuate which would most definitely cause you to lose in a close-quarters gunfight.

3. Reconnect to your network

If you're playing the game on mobile data, then you might want to try reconnecting to your network. To do this, toggle on Airplane mode and leave it on for 5 seconds. Turn off Airplane mode and wait for the device to reconnect to the network.

Chances are that your ping issues could be sorted by this simple step since it allows you to connect your device to the nearest mobile tower in your area. This step is especially useful if you travel a lot.

4. Use a fast VPN service

Using a VPN service does not always ensure a better ping — in fact, it could result in a higher ping than before. However, if you're trying to play the game in another regions server, then using a VPN application makes sense.

The VPN application allows you to connect to any regions server directly hence reducing the latency caused by routing traffic from your regions server to the other regions server where you're trying to play in.

Turbo VPN is a great VPN application available for free on Android if you do not have a VPN app on your device yet.

Well, those are a few tips to help reduce or improve your ping in PUBG Mobile without changing your ISP. However, if you do not notice any improvements even after trying out the tips above, then the next best thing to do would be to change your ISP.
