How To Check For Google Play System Update On Android 10

Android 10 is officially rolling out for Google's Pixel devices and would be soon making its way over to smartphones from other manufacturers such as OnePlus, Xiaomi, and Samsung to name a few.

While there might not be a dessert name attached to this year's Android version, it brings some much-needed improvements, including overhauled privacy management for apps and a long-awaited system-wide dark mode.

To streamline updates for Android devices, the search giant has also introduced 'Project Mainline' with Android 10. This enables Google to release updates such as security patches via the Google Play itself.

If you're rocking the Android 10 update on your Pixel device and want to check for Google Play system updates, then here's how to do so.

Google Play System Update

  1. Head over to Settings and tap on About phone.
  2. Now select Android version.
  3. You should be able to see the Google Play system update section in the list along with other information.
  4. Tap on the Google Play system update option to scan for new updates.
  5. If an update is available, tap on Download & Install.
  6. The update would begin downloading and would install automatically on your device.
