Asus Launches ROG Phone 2 In India Starting At Rs. 37,999


Asus had launched its first gaming-oriented smartphone last year which was the Asus ROG Phone. The company has now launched the successor to the ROG Phone — the ROG Phone 2 in India.

Of course, the ROG Phone 2 packs in the best specifications currently available. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 855+ processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage on the base variant and goes up all the way to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage for the higher-end variant.

What's really interesting this year with the ROG Phone 2 is the pricing. Asus, to everyone's surprise, has set the price for the base variant at just Rs. 37,999. This puts the device straight up against the standard OnePlus 7 and the upcoming OnePlus 7T.


For the incredible price, you do get a ton of features as well. First off, the ROG Phone 2 packs in massive 6000mAh battery and a 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED display with a FullHD+ resolution.

Being a gaming-oriented device, the ROG Phone 2 also has improved air triggers which would help users trigger in-game functions. The features don't end here, Asus has also added 30W fast charging support although you would only get an 18W charger in the box with the 8GB + 128GB variant.

However, the company includes the 30W charger as well as the AeroActive Cooler 2 in the box of the 12GB + 512GB variant of the device which is priced at Rs. 59,999.

Google unveiled its flagship duo for the year, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL . Both devices were heavily leaked before the launch and there isn't really anything new that surprised us.
