How To Take A Screenshot On The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro
Redmi's latest flagship duo, the K20 Pro and K20 are easily one of the best devices in their respective price ranges.
Both smartphones are pre-loaded with MIUI 10 over Android 9 Pie and as you might know already, MIUI 10 packs in a ton of useful features.
If this is your first Xiaomi/Redmi device, then you're probably checking out all the features offered with MIUI 10.
One of the most used features is often the ability to capture a screenshot and of course, you might be familiar with capturing a screenshot via the key combination; however, there are a few more ways to capture a screenshot.
So without much further ado, let's check out how to capture a screenshot on the K20 and K20 Pro.
How to capture a screenshot
Method 1: Key combination
Capturing a screenshot via the key combination is pretty easy and is one of the most popular methods to take a screenshot.
- Press and hold the Volume Down and Power Key simultaneously.
That's it. The screenshot would be saved to your gallery application automatically.
Method 2: Notification toggle
- Slide down the notification panel and tap on the Screenshot toggle.
Method 3: Gestures
- Launch the Settings menu on your device.
- Tap on the ‘Take a screenshot’ option.
- Under the title ‘Optional Gestures and Button’, select ‘Slide 3 fingers down’.
- Now simply launch the app/screen you want to capture and simply use three fingers to slide down the screen to capture the screenshot.
Method 4: Google Assistant command
You could also ask Google Assistant to capture a screenshot; however, there's one complication using this method which I'll talk about more later.
- Bring up Google Assistant via the voice command 'Ok Google' or simply press and hold the Home key to launch GA.
- Give the command "take a screenshot."
Google Assistant would capture a screenshot and then you'd have the option to share the screenshot on various apps. The complication I mentioned is that the screenshot does not automatically save to the gallery hence I'd recommend using this only when you're going to share the captured screenshot on a certain app.
Method 5: Power Menu
With the latest MIUI 10 update, Xiaomi has provided another way to capture a screenshot.
- Long press the Power Key and then tap on the Screenshot option.
Well, those are the five ways to capture a screenshot on your Redmi K20 and K20 Pro.
